LMR51610: CISPR Class B EMC testing

Part Number: LMR51610

Tool/software:

Hi,

Has anyone failed or have information regarding EMC compliance testing for this buck converter with maximum load currents of ~750mA?

PCB layout follows recommended guidelines and uses a 4 layer stack up from this TI document:

www.ti.com/.../slvaex2.pdf

The outer case of the device is plastic.

I've seen a similar post regarding this converter but their maximum current draw was only 250mA.

If anyone has EMC results of the 400kHz/1.1MHz switching speed variants as well as the FPWM/PFM modulation variants that would be really helpful.

Thanks!

  • Hi Liang,

We currently don't have some test results at that specific load current, but I anticipate to be ok for CE. You may wish to add a ferrite bead at the input side for CE, and minimize the switching node for radiated emission.

    Thanks,

    Richard
