Is the TPS25983 UL approved now?
Hi David,
Yes, it is indeed UL approved now. We have to update the webpage but that may take some time. Meanwhile I can provide you the certificate.

Do let me know if you need anything else.

Thanks for the reply Arush! We are testing to IEC 60730. I saw the SLVAEO5 doc in which TI correlates testing to IEC62368-1 could be correlated to 60730 such that further testing may not be required. Do you know if the UL 2367 listing would suffice for IEC60730 testing such that we would not have to retest? Thanks again for the help!
Hi David,
I am fully aware of IEC60730. It looks like in the App note, they mentioned that since the current limiting device (which is UL2367 certified) is limiting the current and indirectly limiting the power below 15W, the end system will come in low power system, and this makes system level testing for IEC60730 much easier or not required. This completely depends on the system level requirements.
I would recommend you talk to your testing agency for this. Anyways even if testing is not required, you will still have to apply for certification so better to make things clear from there end.

Hi Arush, our compliance team requested a few things and I was wondering if you could help obtain.
1. Is the TPS25983 indeed UL recognized, and what the UL file number? Is it the E339631 with the TPS25982 and TPS25980, but perhaps in a separate file. Or if it so new perhaps the database just hasn’t been updated yet?
2. Do you have a CB cert, similar to the one listed for TPS25982? They likely have one for the 25980 and 25983. The attached cert is 6 years old so they might have a new one that lists all the 3 models?
Thanks again for the help!

We got the UL2367 and CB testing done from Eurofins for this device. It is possible that database is not yet updated. I am checking this with them.

Above, I also attached CB certificate. Can you check the file named "US-2901-MET M0A0.pdf".
