TPS25981: So will TPS25981 keep auto-retry until the current goes down the setting value?

Hi team, 

There is some fan application in server. The steady state current is 6A, peak current is 12A. So customer will set the ILIM at 13A. For TPS25981, is the max current limit 11A? Can we set it to 13A?

    Hi Nison,

    setting ILIM to 13A is not recommended. You mentioned that peak current is 12A so that can be allowed using blanking timer i.e. ITIMER functionality of the device. Do you still want to use higher current limit?

    Setting higher ILIM will increase risk due to higher possibility of continuous current exceeding device max current of 10A and also may provide you worse accuracy.
