LMG3100R017: Parallel GaN design

Part Number: LMG3100R017

Tool/software:

Hi expert,

Customer wants to know if TI's GaN devices can be designed in parallel? They want evaluate TI's GaN devices in higher power system (150A-650A).

And how can we keep parallel GaN devices switching synchronized? If we have related reference design?

Best Regards,

Ryker

  • Hi Ryker,

Yes, we can parallel our TI GaN devices and achieve higher power system. We already have schematic guidelines, test results conducted for paralleling of LMG3100 which I will share through email as we have not published them yet. Please reach out to me at my email id: r-sinha1@ti.com

For synchronization, we are routing the PWM signals differentially so that the mismatch is minimized and externally managing the delay using RC circuits.

    Thanks & Regards,

    Ruchika
