Hello,

I am currently working with the BQ41Z90 fuel gauge IC using the BQ41Z90 EVM (BMS081 Rev A). According to the Technical Reference Manual, only device versions 4.2x support LED display functionality.

I would like to confirm the exact version of the IC installed on my board.

It is mentioned in TRM's section 8.1 on page no. 85

Please check below attached screenshot.

Additionally,

Let me know how CFETOFF and DFETOFF pins to be used, as I tried pulling them high to REG18 and low to the GND which didn't turned off FETS.

Also, let me know if any changes can be done in BQStudio to achieve this.

Hi,

I believe that is a TRM mistake, to my knowledge all BQ41z90 units have LED support.

Section 7.3.5.1 in the TRM explains how CFETOFF and DFETOFF work.

Hi Diego,

Thanks. I found the section for the CFETOFF and DFETOFF functionality but it is present in datasheet's section 7.3.5.4.

More importantly, as CFETOFF and DFETOFF pins are multifunction pins. I assume that I can configure them through BQStudio but I am unable to find settings for the same. If you can help me with that it would be great.
