Can you confirm whether there are any ESD protective components involved on the system side of the communication lines?

Also, can you please confirm why the cell resistor section is designed as so?

They don't have t any ESD devices on the SMBUS line. Do you recommend to add ESD on the line?

For cell balancing resistor, that is used for decreased the total size, 4 0201 resistor on it, still 100.

Yes, I typically would recommend adding ESD components, especially if the SCL/SDA connection is external. These pins are sensitive to ESD, hence why ESD protective components are typically added in the EVM schematics:
