BQ41Z90: BQ41z90 I2C (pin no. 47 and 48) not able to communicate using these pins

Thank you for your reply, the J11 connector is related to the SMBus communication lines for us its working fine there is no issue with this.

Our issue is We are using pins 47 and 48 of BQ41z90 to communicate with host controller as I2C channel. But we are not able to communicate using these pins, could you please suggest any settings need to be done for this in the BQStudio.

Hi Diego,

My question is related to pins 47 and 48 of the BQ41z90 IC, and not to J11. Yes, the J11 pins are dedicated only to SMbus communication, not to I²C, as per the datasheet.
Any updates from the SQM and FM teams, kindly let me know.

Thank you for the update.

Our design is as shown in the attached diagram. The uC communicates with the BQ41z90 over I²C, but there is no response from the BQ.

But if we change the pins from 48 & 47 to 35 and 34 with the microcontroller, it communicates properly without any issue. We are not connecting pins 47

and 48 to BQStudio. Please verify this once again on your demo board and let me know

Could you please provide the same compatibility on pins 47/48 and 35/34, so that we can use either set as SMBus communication instead of I²C?
