It helps to reduce common mode noise by reducing the parasitic capacitance.

Hi Anita,

Do you think shield is needed for general cases of UCG28826? At a circuit of traditional flyback converter, my customer is using transformer which does not have shield.

Not necessary, it had been used because it helps in CM noise reduction.
