Tool/software:
Hi
Can I measure the current when I use the SOH mode?
and what is the accuracy error of the current measurement?
thanks!

In Hello,
Your question has been assigned and will be reviewed when possible.
Thank you,

SOH mode doesn't use the current ADC (coulomb counter).
You'd have to switch to ACCUMULATOR mode for current measurements.
The accuracy is specified in the d/s, 6.11 Integrating ADC (Coulomb Counter). https://www.ti.com/lit/ds/symlink/bq35100.pdf
You can use your sense resistor to calculate what this means in terms of amps.
Can we use it in this way, most the time the device are at SOH mode, and when we need measure current we switch to ACCUMULATOR mode. after the current measurement done, we switch back to SOH mode ?
The bq35100 is not designed to switch between modes. See TRM, https://www.ti.com/lit/ug/sluubh1c/sluubh1c.pdf, page 21: The bq35100 device can operate in three distinct modes: ACCUMULATOR (ACC) mode, STATE-OFHEALTH (SOH) mode, and END-OF-SERVICE (EOS) mode. The device can be configured and used for only one of these modes in the field, as it is not intended to be able to actively switch between modes when in normal use.
TI didn't test switching between modes. If you try this, you'll have to enable the gauge, change mode, turn off the gauge and the gauge will use the "new" mode the next time.
