BQ27Z561-R2: VSS Connection via NU pin

VSS pin unfortunately is on an internall ball of the BGA package, so using standard PCB rules it cannot be fanned out easily, it would need microvias or vias in pad to go to the lower layer
I see that C3 NU pin is  not connected, is it ok to connect it to VSS? so that it can used to fan out the GND of the fuel gauge
