BQ76972: Current+ connection based on TIDA-010247 and PMP23329 reference design

Part Number: BQ76972
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TIDA-010247, PMP23329

Tool/software:

Dear TI team,

Now, I'm designing a BMS with TIDA-010247 design reference. After I've read the schematic, I have a few questions:
1. Is BAT- connected by current+? On the high side FET, it is only available current+ under BAT+. That makes me confused how the BAT- is connected. In contrast,  I see the clear BAT- and current+ connection at PMP23329 reference design.
2. Does the battery simulation (J15) relate with the J2 connector? I see the the similar pattern of that.

I hope that's clear enough and we are waiting for your response. Thanks.
