Qmax Updates

With regards to an application using the bq20z75:

  1. During a Qmax update can it be expected that in some cases Qmax_1 and Qmax_2 would update but Qmax_3, Qmax_4 and Qmax_Pack would remain the same?  And other combinations as well?
  2. One of the Qmax update requirements is to pass a given amount of charge (37%).  If charge starts at 63% and then at 92% percent jumps to 100% by achieving primary charge termination would that still qualify as 37% passed charge?  It technically only passed 29 percent then jumped to 100%.

    Jonathan,

    1. Some cells could update while others remain the same.

    2. The device thinks that charging has completed at the 92% reading and then sets the capacity to 100%. This would not qualify for a 37% change in capacity during charging. The capacity may have changed 37% during its' previous discharge cycle, which may have qualified it for a Qmax update.
