TPSM63603E: Input Capacitor value

Tool/software:

We are planning to use two TPSM63603E DC-DC Buck Converter to provide two outputs of 3.3V and 5V, where source for both of these converters is from same 12V supply, so can input capacitors be commonly used for both the converters or 2 sets of input capacitors to be used.

    Hello,

    You need to use a set of input capacitors for each device placed as close to the Vin pin as possible. It is important that the Vin capacitors are close to the pin to help filter high frequency noise.

    Please refer to the layout section of the datasheet to see how the input capacitors should be placed for each device.
