UCC34141-Q1: Is it possible to use VIN5.5V and Vout18V

Part Number: UCC34141-Q1

Tool/software:

Dear Specialists,

My customer is considering UCC34141-Q1 and has a question.

I would be grateful if you could advise.

---

(1) On page 8 of the data sheet, the VVIN description states that the condition for an input of 5.5Vmin - 12Vtyp - 20Vmax is (VDD-COM) = 18V.
Does this mean that an 18V output is possible with a 5.5V input?

(2) when (1) is correct,
The VIN UVLO is released at a maximum of 4.5V.
Is it possible to use 17.5V output with 5V input?

---

I appreciate your great help in advance.

Best regards,

Shinichi

    • Yes, but max output power capability will be reduced by low VIN and max ambient temperature.

    • Yes, but you would be very close to UVLO_OFF and max output power will be reduced by low VIN and max ambient temperature.
