I have some questions about the application of LM74801-Q1. Please support me.

When the LM74801 is applied according to the following topology, can it be understood that the subsequent circuit will use the power supply with the higher input voltage?

That is, when the main power supply is higher than the auxiliary power supply, U2 detects a reverse voltage and will turn off the MOSFET to prevent current backflow, but the prerequisite is to reach the reverse voltage threshold. Was my understanding wrong?

Then, before the reverse voltage threshold is reached, a situation of current backflow will occur. How large will this reverse current be?

When the reverse voltage threshold is reached, to prevent current backflow, the MOSFET will be turned off by the ideal diode. Then, will this reverse current disappear instantly? Or does it still need to be borne by the subsequent circuit?

Also, in the following application in the datasheet, what is the function of this diode D2?
