TPS3422: Device failed during ESD test

Hi Team,

Customer test to find 2/1000 TPS3422 failed during whole machine test under 4&8kV test.

Test to find the SWITCH_IN voltage is 2V8 and there is no RST signal after pressing RESET button.

Support need:

Can you help to check what may cause it and any suggestion to improve the protection ability? Thanks!

Hi Kailun,

The TPS3422 is only rated for 2KV. If a an HBM 8KV device is needed, we have the TPS3424 to support this spec.

Hi Jesse,

The HBM 8KV is not applied in TPS3422 but in product' s type C port, is that still require 8kV for reset IC?
