Hello,
we are looking for a new state-of-the-art solution for a 50 Watts power supply with 28Vdc output from 350Vdc PFC input.
Operating frequency shall be high because a small form factor (probably using planar transformer) is desired.
The final product will be used in aerospace applications, but only cabin environment without special safety requirements.
The UCG28826 seem to provide all what we need in one package, even though it's meant to be used without PFC and designed for USB charging applications. Features like frequency dithering might help us to pass the qualification tests (radiated emissions).
My questions are:
- Does TI recommend / support the use of UCG28826 in non-critical aerospace applications?
- Is the UCG28826 a good choice regarding security of supply (10 years+)?
- Is the UCG28826 the best fit for our application (50 Watts DC/DC from 350V PFC, small formfactor)?
- Can TI provide samples? It's not stocked at any distributor.
If not, please provide alternatives (with external FET).
