Other Parts Discussed in Thread: MSP432E401Y, MSP-EXP432E401Y, TPS6594EVM
Tool/software:
How do we hook up the TI GUI (described in slvubt8b) to an in circuit TPS6594 family device on our board that has I2C header , IE SDA, SCL, GND with 3.3 signaling
(For reference I have a board design similar but different to your J784S4X evaluation board , as in the proc141e4 schematic labeled rev E4, version 4.6 in the schematic)
the GUI manual for the PMIC talks about the GUI and the part, but not how to physically connect them
It mentions a MSP432W, and AEVM controller, and MSP432E401Y MCU Launchpad
Now I have no idea what an AEVM controller is
Following the instructions there in 5.1, and 5.2 it suggests that I go to a provided link, now the page looks different than the picture, but it suggest to go to the gallery
so I go there, and the page renders completely blank, so that is not useful
Likewise I try in 5.2 with the download version of the tool it does not find any results when searching for the suggested term "PMIC"
taking a brief look at 5.4 in that manual, it mentions I can connect via SPI or I2C, but we still don't know which pins on what module provide this SPI / I2C connection
Ok, instead I look at the MSP432E401Y MCU Launchpad manual, (slau748b)
but it does not discuss TPS6594's
We see there are some I2C signals, but there are several to choose from and the MSP-EXP432E401Y, already has connections to things on the board to those signals
So a couple questions:
1/ Is there a non-web version of the GUI tool and what is the link to download this
2/ what is the connectivity method from a debug/development host to the TPS6594 embedded on target exactly
