Hi team,

I'm looking for a host-controlled constant-current charging IC for NiMH batteries.

Vin is 15V, NiMH batteries are 8 cells (4000mAh), and the charging current is about 1A.

Would the bq25792 be suitable?

Hi,

We would recommend the BQ25798 instead of the BQ25792. I think that the BQ25798 will work for this application.
