My customer would like to know the standard test method for deadband time for external mos tubes in BQ24610. Do we have similar guidance documents, such as the test method, start and end of deadband. There is also how to properly choose an external MOS.

We don't have an official document to measure deadtime, but here is an example of measuring the rising and falling dead time of a different BQcharger device.
Falling dead time: the time between SWstarting to fall and LODRV starting to rise
Rising dead time: the time between SW starting to rise and LODRV starting to fall
There is also how to properly choose an external MOS.
Please refer to section 10.2.1.2.4 Power MOSFETs selection in the datasheet for external MOSFET selection.
