BQ25820: BQ25820 not charging

Hi,

i have a simple design using the BQ25820 i am for the moment using this in standalone while i understand its capabilities. i have followed the data sheet and the EVK and used the BQ25756 DESIGN-CALC spreadsheet to verify values and settings. However i get no switching. Have attached schematic. the setting should be for 14.3V LiFeO4 48A/hr battery with 4A charging current. Clearly i have missed some this but i cannot see what i have configured incorrectly. there is no input current limit and no SYS output.

Any comments appreciated. Mark

    Hello Mark,

    If you have any way to connect to the BQ25820 and provide a register dump, it will hep to quickly resolve this issue.

    Suggestions:

    • Pull CE low, do not leave floating
    • The Bulk Output capcitors need to be spread and balanced across the sense resistors, you only have it on one side.
