Tool/software:
Dear TI Team,
when running tests with a prototype battery using a bq40z80 and a current scaling factor of 2, I noticed that the "Power" value in the DAStatus1 register is exactly half of the value I get if I calculate Voltage() * Current() (unscaled).
I would like to understand how the Power value, if scaled at all is scaled. Based on my observations, the actual power value of the battery voltage * scaled current is 4 times the value that is reported in the DAStatus1 register, leading me to belive that somehow the power value itself is scaled again after calculating it using the unscaled(as in the values stored in the registers of the device) values.
Is this accurate? Or is there some other reason I am getting this mismatched data? Thank you in advance for your help.
Kind regards,
Simon
