TPS3850-Q1: Question about WDI input rise/fall rate limit

Part Number: TPS3850-Q1

Tool/software:

Hello TI experts,

When using TPS3850-Q1, we add a 100nF capacitor on WDI pin, for noise decoupling. This causes a problem: WDO is asserted occasionally. The rise/fall rate of WDI input is about 55mV/us.

We suspect the WDI input rise/fall rate maybe too low.

What's the rise/fall rate limit of the WDI input?

Thanks a lot.

  • Hi Gao,

We do not test for and specify a specific slew rate for the WDI, however we recommend that you remove the 100nF capacitor and any other extra capacitance on the WDI net as this is known to cause issues with the WDI pin recognizing both none or multiple WDI transition when trying to provide a single WDI transition.

    Thanks,
    Joshua
