LP87725-Q1: Is Buck2 satisfied with the AWR2544 Ripple specifications?

Hello PMIC team,

When customer checked the AWR2544 EVM Schematic. It uses LP87725101RAGRQ1.

I'd appreciated it if you could answer the question.

1. AWR2544 supply 1.0V by BUCK2 (not LDO). Then, Is Buck2 satisfied with the AWR2544 RF Rail Ripple specifications? I'd like to know if it's already been verified.

2. When we set switching frequency at 17.6Mhz (full load), Is there any thermal issue? Could you please share the thermal test information? customer want to know the specific temperature info when they use full switching frequency.

Regards,

Lina

Yes the bucks are low noise.

Customer has evaluate on radar EVM as our EVM doesn't have specifically the radar SoC. However, the typical radar load has been used but for sure if there is rise in thermals then customer need to take care of that.

  • Hello Ishtiaque, Thank you for your answer.

Customer has evaluate on radar EVM as our EVM doesn't have specifically the radar SoC.

Could you explain what does that mean 'our EVM doesn't have specifically the Radar SoC' ? I'd like to know TI AWR2544 EVM + LP8775 thermal spec in maximum switching frequency 17.6Mhz.

  • Hi Kim,
