TPSM33620-Q1: RE in FM band

Part Number: TPSM33620-Q1

Tool/software:

Hi Team,

I would like to check why there is noise on the band > 30MHz?

Regards,

Roy

  • Hi Roy,

The >30 MHz noise comes from switching harmonics and SW node ringing. TPSM33620-Q1 reduces low-freq EMI, but high-freq components still couple through layout/parasitics. Try LC/ferrite filters, tighter layout/grounding, or an RC snubber to reduce FM-band emissions.

    Thanks,

    Naresh

  • Hi Naresh,

TPSM part is inductor integration. In addition to place the HF cap on input /output, any recommendation for FM band?

Do you have EMI report that TPSM part vs LMR part?

    Regards,

    Roy

  • Hello Roy,

we will look into your question. And get back to you

    thanks and regards

  • Hi Roy,

We don’t have a specific EMI comparison report between TPSM33620 and LMR parts, but it is expected that TPSM module provides better EMI performance due to integrated inductor and optimized layout, but results still depend heavily on PCB layout, HF bypass caps close to VIN/VOUT, and additional LC/RC filtering. No further recommendations for FM band. please ensure routing is optimal by keeping HF bypass caps close to VIN/VOUT

    Thanks and Regards
