LMG3100R017: about series cap buck converter driver design

This topology is a two-phase series capacitor buck converter, which requires four active FETs. 

If you are looking for a GaN device recommendation, that would depend on the application parameters such as input voltage and power level. 

For input voltage less than 100V, we would recommend LMG3100. 

For input voltage greater than 100V, we would recommend LMG362x.

These GaN devices have integrated gate driver, which means that an external gate driver is not required. However, bootstrapping is required to bias the high-side devices in the half-bridge configuration.

LMG3100EVM uses a bootstrap configuration for the high-side device. Please refer to the user guide link below:
