Tool/software:
Hello team,
We are using the DC-DC Buck converter part# TPS56837 in our design to convert 15/20V to 7.4V.
But, in one of the use-case, the input of 15V/20V can change to 6V-8.4V. Our observation is that with this input also the converter is able to maintain the output similar to input which seems like the converter is going in bypass mode to let the input straight away pass to output side without switching. For reference, the load connected at this time is ~3-4A.
Is this bypass mode an intentional feature of the DC-DC converter or is it a sign of abnormal behaviour?
