My customer use TPS61178 for VIN 8.8V, Vout 9V~20V
1. Is that OK if VIN is 8.8V but Vout is 9V, the drop voltage is a little low
2. Can customer control FB voltage to get different Vout value such as 9V, 10V, 11V, 12V and so on. the SCH as below

Hi Amber,
It is a little hard to support 8.8V to 9V, due to the Ton min limitation of TPS61178, the duty cycle is limited when VIN is close to VOUT. Setting the fsw to a lower value, like 200kHz, may be helpful on this, but I think it still would be a little limited.
Change VOUT by FB control can work for TPS61178, but the circuit you shown is not correct, a resistor between controlled voltage and FB pin is required, please refer to the schematic below.
