Could you please elaborate why thermal sharing Resistor should consume appropriate 50% total power dissipation at typical supply operating voltage?

What would happen if customer designs Res for higher dissipation?

Hello Antoine,

The heat sharing is recommended to be 50% so the power dissipation between the TPS92621-Q1 and R(RES) is the same. You can increase R(RES) above 50% but need to ensure that your power dissipation does not exceed thermal requirements.
