Tool/software:

Hello,

My customer configured the switches with TPS22991s to only allow one of the power inputs, either VCC_1.8VD or EX_NUC_1.8VD, to be supplied to NUC_SPI_VDD as shown in the circuit below.

    - 1V ~ 5.5V switching range
    - 1A or more load

The intention was to prevent power from flowing back to the other side when power is input from one side, but when testing actual operation, the input power flows to the other side.

Q1. What causes this phenomenon? Could it be because the TPS22991 lacks reverse current blocking?

Q2. If the ON pin could be controlled Low, it would be thought that reverse power would be prevented, but currently the ON pin cannot be controlled.

Is there a way to block reverse voltage without ON pin control? Could it be possible using an IC with reverse current blocking functionality?

Thank you.
