Hi team,
When I try to change the AM3352's VDD_MPU (VDD1) from 1.1V to 1.26V, the VDD_MPU shuts down.
If the VDD_MPU detects an overcurrent, will only the VDD_MPU shut down?
Hello,
How are you attempting to change the VDD1 voltage? Are you using the SmartReflex Control to write to register 0x22 or 0x23 ?
TPS65910 has a current limit on VDD1:
Generally, if the the high-side FET current limit is reached, then the HS FET will turn off, and LS FET will turn on until the current ramps down.
Are you detecting any interrupt being flagged when VDD1 shuts down?
Best Regards,
Sarah
Hi Sarah-san,
VDD1 is changed by Smart Reflex.
When the power is turned on, 1.1V is output, but after communication with Smart Reflex, VDD1 shuts down.
Other power supplies are output, so I would like to know if VDD1 will shut down if it detects an overcurrent.
Best regards,
Hello Kobayashi-san,
I see.
Yes, VDD1 could shut down in case of overcurrent, if current limit is exceeded.
You mention that this is able to output 1.1V initially when powered on? Is this stable before Smart Reflex is used to read/write?
Are you able to test this without load?
Best Regards,
Sarah
Hi Sarah-san,
Before smartreflex, the output was stable at 1.1V.
After smartreflex, the output disappeared.
Smartreflex becomes impossible when the load is removed.
Does the TPS65910 specification mean that the output latches off when an OCP is detected?
Best regards,
Hi Kobayashi-san,
Due to national holiday in US, most of the experts are out of office today. Please expect delay in response. Thanks for your patience!
