Tool/software:
The /QON pin has multiple functions on the BQ25601/D and BQ25600/D and is pulled up internally. The only thing connected to this pin should be some switch/FET/button etc. Float this pin if unused.
The /QON pin can be pulled low for between 0.9s or 1.3s to exit ship mode. An example use case would be the customer holding a button on a portable electronic connected to the /QON pin to wake up the device.
The /QON pin can be pulled low for between 8 or 12s to reset the BATFET between BAT and SYS if BATFET_DIS = 0 and BATFET_RST_EN = 1 are set. If this feature is not wanted, the BATFET_RST_EN bit can be set to 0. Sometimes products need a hard reset that can only be achieved by power cycling the system. In a battery application supplying power to the system, this can be achieved by the BQ25601/D and BQ25600/D by holding the /QON pin low to reset the BATFET and achieve a POR on the system.
