UCC27511A: Resistor between the OUTH pin and OUTL pin

Part Number: UCC27511A

Tool/software:

Hi All,

I have a question about how to select R1 and R2, which are listed on the datasheet.
I would like to drive an N-ch FET with as little delay as possible. In that case, should both R1 and R2 be set to 0 Ω?

  • Hi Ishiwata-san,

Selecting R1 and R2 is a very iterative process. I would start off with 0ohm and test on bench to see if there's any overshooting or undershooting. If there is any overshooting/undershooting, then increase the resistance until you find the balance between rise/fall time and overshoot/undershoot (as long as it's within the abs max specs).

Here's an app note covering gate resistors: https://www.ti.com/lit/ab/slla385a/slla385a.pdf

    Thanks,
