because the short GND protection and current limit have different response time. i am confusing, what current will be protected as "Short to GND condition", such as 1A, slew rate is 1A/1ms will recognized as "Short to GND"? if the below red circle is about the Short to GND protection? could you please help tell me what is the working principle of "Short to GND protection"?

In an ideal short to ground scenario the current will shoot drastically compared to the current limit response while this is more gradual. That's why the statement above mentions the 1us response time.
For the fault report it will be the same for a current limit or short to ground. The output will be low and the FLT pin will be pulled to GND.

sorry for making misunderstanding, i want to know what type of current is Short to GND? customer want to evaluate some inrush current or something else is Short to GND protection or normal current limit. because Short to GND and normal current limit have different response time.
short to GND is less than 1us.
but normal current limit is 300us

because the Tcl is 80us, customer want to know what is the fault behavior if the device happen over current for <80us, such as 10us, 20us, 50us.

Sorry for the delay I've been OoO. The device function under overcurrent and short to gnd will be the same. This is identified in the fault truth table.
