I am an FAE at a distributor that handles TI products.
I received a question from my customer about the undershoot of the LX pin of the TPS61158.
I've attached the waveform of the LX pin.
There is an undershoot of about -1.5V.
The duration of the undershoot is about 2.3ns.
The measurement points are also attached.
The oscilloscope probe was used by wrapping a wire around it rather than using a GND probe.
The probing points are as shown in the attached diagram.
Since it was not possible to touch the LX pin land with the probe, measurements were taken at the inductor land.
According to the datasheet, the absolute maximum rating of the LX pin is -0.3V, and the measured waveform of -1.5V exceeds this rating.
Are there any short-term ratings not listed on the datasheet?
Or, is the undershoot in the measured waveform ok?
