Just trying to understand what causes this error, as my graph isn't showing anything obviously anomalous! See attached for my test data, and resultant report. I note, after performing this test and capturing all the data, that I actually need to capture the charge profile as well. Can you confirm this is required? If so, I will update my test setup and likely switch to using my BQ34Z100-R2 to capture the voltage/current/temperature instead of my test equipment.

The resultant CHEMID seems to have a 10% error - but I'm not sure if that is good enough or not. Please advise :)

Hi,

Typically, we recommend using a chemid with 3% dod% error or less. Given that the best match we had was 11%, I recommend getting a custom chemid made. Please reach out to your supporting FAE or your local TI office for help with this. If you have any issues, please reply to this thread and I can help with the process.

Thanks, Diego. Are you able to comment on whether my experimental data (which does not include the charge, just the discharge) is sufficient to justify a custom chemid? I just want to rule out any easy issues first :)

Hi,

Yes, it is very difficult or impossible to complete a learning cycle with high dod% error. Even when it can be completed with a high dod% error chemid, accuracy post learning cycle will suffer.
