UCC21540: VCCI Range

Hi,

We are looking for alternative parts for UCC21520. VCCI in our application is 15V. UCC21540 seems to be a good alternative, according to the datasheet.

But the VCCI range supported by UCC21540 seems to be ambiguous. Though the datasheet says that it can support up to 18V, under Power Supply Recommendations it says "The recommended input supply voltage (VCCI) for the UCC2154x is between 3 V and 5.5 V"! Also, the comparison done on TI website also lists the maximum VCC1 as 5.5V! Compare products

Can UCC21540 support VCCI of 15V reliably? What is the max working voltage on VCCI?

Hi Eldho,

Thank you for bringing these differences to our attention. I will work with our team to have the datasheet and website corrected. We recently updated the specs for UCC21540 to have a higher input voltage range, so the voltage range with a maximum of 18V is the correct one for UCC21540.
