TPS25751: could it designed with LM51772 for PD Source application?

Tool/software:

I used TPS25751 just for PD Source 45W application and the dcdc module LM

51772 is chosen. Since I saw this diagram in LM

51772 datasheet, I suppose this is feasible. But when i use USBCPD application tool, I can only saw BQ chips.

I am wondering how TPS25751 could communicate with LM51772 for 9V,15V voltage adjustment according to PD negotiation.

One option would be to use an MCU to read from the TPS and the write to the LM.

But I saw this pic LM51772 could be controlled by PD controller, why couldn't TPS51772 do this?

Hi Jiayue,

Let me check with the team and get back to you on this. TPS25751 is mainly intended for DRP or Sink-Only applications with battery charging and does not currently have integrated I2C control to be paired with LM51772.
