Hello,

In our project we considering to use TPS61288.

TPS61288 is capable of higher current ratings but we only need 100mA output when boosting 5V to 12V.

There is a limited space in our PCB so can I use 74438336100 coded inductor from Wurth?

Also could I connect enable pin directly to the VIN?

Hi,

The inductor with too small saturation current is not recommended for TPS61288, if you only need 100mA, I think some device with lower current capability are more suitable, like TLV61047.

Also the EN maximum voltage is 6V, is the VIN is lower than 6V it is ok to connect the EN to VIN.

Hello,

Originally this circuit designed with LM2733.

After your suggestion and since the TLV61047 is a new product we decided to use TLV61047.

Could I use same design with TLV61047?

Is the Inductor and in-out capacitors suitable for the application? (There is no webench for this product)

Inductor is the same inductor from this post.

(Note: Iout shall be 200mA not 100mA)

Hi Egemen,

For TLV61047, Recommend change inductor to 4.7uH. And C22 is not needed.
