Q1:
Would I know ILIM value for LP8865C-Q1? Datasheet only shows TPS925501 value...

Q2:
I consider 5Vin, 24Vout, 0.8A or 0.6Aoutput. In this case do you recommend LP8868X-Q1 instead of LP8865C-Q1?

I_inductor_peak = Iout * Vout/Vin / Eff * ripple_rate = 0.6 * 24/5 / 0.8 * 1.15 = 4.14A (0.6Aout) or 5.52A(0.8Aout)
1.15 estimates +/-15% current ripple depending on inductor size.
0.8 estimates 80% efficiency

LP8868X-Q1 or LP8868U-Q1 supports 5.8A_min I_LIM based on the datasheet.

    LP8865C-Q1 has the same ILIM value as TPS922051. I believe this is a mistake in the datasheet. We will fix it soon.

    With 5V Vin to provide a 24V 600mA output, even for LP8868X-Q1, the temperature rise will be high with full PWM duty. We recommend the customer consider LP8868X-Q1.

    Does the customer use the IC in 100% PWM duty? If they use it in lower PWM duty cycle, the temperature stress will be lower.

    Or does the customer accept derating operation in low input voltage?  According to the calculation result in our calculation tool, the device could work in 7Vin with 600mA full power.

    Thanks for prompt support.

    for datasheet, I understood it is D/S mistaken and the value is correct one for LP8865C-Q1.

    I will ask if they can accept degrade in lower vin or if they use 100% PWM.

    By the way, do you have recommended ext. FET LED driver to support their full requirements?

    We currently only have LP8865/8-Q1 family to support single channel high current operation. For low input operation, we normally recommend derating.

    You may also consider TPS92541-Q1 from LED-AL product line.
