BQ25792: Ship mode functionality in linux driver

Hi,
We are using the driver https://git.ti.com/gitweb?p=ti-analog-linux-kernel/dmurphy-analog.git;a=commit;h=75997c21e9dfc0d54b7f774bfb37e6af796ff293 for charger IC,
and needs to implement the ship mode functionality when the device shuts down.

The host is NXP iMX 8M plus, and linux version is L6.1.55_2.2.0. Is there any existing patches to perform this functionality, or could you guide us in the implementation of the same.

Hi Febin,

Just to confirm, when you are using the driver, have you set the SFET_PRESENT bit on startup before writing to the SDRV_CTRL bits?

Hi Michael,
We haven't made any modifications to the driver now, it's used as is in the above link. We are not sure about the right event, in context of the linux driver, to perform the register writes.
It would be great if you could provide information on that.

Hi Febin,

I do not believe that the driver includes those commands. It should have the right functions to perform the action since all commands to the device are I2C communication. It seems the important commands are "regmap_read" and "regmap_update_bits" for performing the I2C reads and writes.
