Hi,
I have a problem with simulating your Simplis model, I try to run POP but the simulation doesn't reach a normal repeated pattern. it just stop when the voltage reaches 5V without giving any erros. why is that ?

Hey Mohamed,
In the POP analysis you will see two parameters you may have to play with in order to get it running.
I suggest going through SIMPLIS's training on it:
https://www.simplistechnologies.com/documentation/simplis/simplis_tutorial/topics/3_2_set_up_pop_analysis.htm
You can also shorten the start-up time to try and help as well.
Thanks,
Daniel
Hey Daniel, I went through it adjusted the period a couple of times and increase the number of cycles but still. it doesn’t give the standard look of POP.
did you ever have that ?
the simulation is really slow, is this the same by you ? it can take up to 3 Minutes to do the 6ms.
Hey Mohamed,
What do you mean by "standard look of pop"?
Also did the default schematic for the device run for you?
Thanks,
Daniel
that I don’t see the start up behaviour, only a picture of the steady state behaviour while switching like this :
it worked fine but it is really slow and I have the elite version, wanted to check if it is the same with you or not.
other question is I tried to simulate it in Simterix but I got the message that the block must be updated, I downloaded your spice model and integrated in the simulation but unfortunately it failed. did you ever do this before ? any hints on how to import your spice model to Simterix ?
Thanks
Hey Mohamed,
If you back annotate the conditions you can get a picture like that, and if that's something you want to do I would suggest looking it up on SIMPLIS's website as their examples will be critical to follow.
SIMetrix is a SPICE based simulator which is very different than SIMPLIS.
Our SIMPLIS modes do not work in SIMetrix.
Our PSPICE models would have a better chance, but they are untested in SiMetrix, and you would likely have trouble doing an AC analysis.
Thanks,
Daniel
Hi Daniel. you mean the initial conditions of the circuit components ?
I tried to use your Pspice models in Simterix and it did not work unfortunately. is this something on your plan to make working models in Simterix ?
Thank you!
Hey Mohamed,
Yes I am talking about back-annotating the initial conditions
We have no plans to fully vet all of our models in SIMetrix.
Thanks,
Daniel
