Tool/software:
Hello team
We are using 60no' of ISC014N08NM6 MOSFETs in parallel, driven by a single LM74801-Q1 controller, for output ORing applications in a 48VDC data center power supply.
This configuration operates in a simple ON/OFF mode, with no switching frequency, and is intended to ensure efficient power path control and redundancy
Application: ORing in a 48VDC data center PSU application
Objective: Can we connect 60 no's of ISC014N08NM6 MOSFETs in parallel, controlled by a single LM74801-Q1 driver, for a simple ON/OFF operation (no switching frequency)
we have few questions:
A) Can a single LM74801-Q1 driver reliably control 60 no's of ISC014N08NM6 MOSFETs in parallel without performance degradation or gate drive issues?
B) can the LM74801-Q1 source/sink enough current to drive them effectively during turn-on?
C) Are there any limitations in the LM74801-Q1 datasheet regarding the maximum number of MOSFETs it can drive, or recommended practices for high-parallel designs
D) Can We Use Two LM74801-Q1 Drivers in Parallel, Each Controlling 30 no's of ISC014N08NM6 MOSFETs, for a 60-MOSFETsORing Configuration in a 48VDC Output Application?
- Will both LM74801-Q1 drivers turn on their respective MOSFET banks at the same time, or could timing mismatches cause uneven current flow?
