HI,

I'm using a TPS63070 into a USB phone charger. I would need to know if there's the possibility to limit the current output to MAX o 1A.

is there any schematics to do this?

it would be better to option to a different IC ?

Hi mulin ,

it is a bq24074 + lipo battery . I’m using system out of the bq @ 4.4v that should be rated at 5A. I would need an output of 5v @ 1.5A costant

Hi Giorgio,

So in this application, for TPS63070, Vin=4.4V, Output 5V/1.5A.

TPS63070 can support Vin=4V, Vout 5V/2A, so it is ok to use TPS63070 here.

For schematic, you can use EVM schematic for reference.

I’m using this but Seems I cannot get more than 1A stable . I see other one suggests tps6100333 it is better ?

I test TPS63070 EVM board with Vin=4.4V, Output 5V/1.5A, output is stable. Did you do the test with EVM or your own board?

Do you mean TPS610333? If your application is a boost, you can consider it.

hi mulin,

thanks for your reply, it is stable for me too and I discover the error. my power source is a bq24074 that can't handle more than 1.5A.

This makes the board unstable considering I have other power drains.

really direct: does something like bq24074 with more than 1.5A power exists ?
