TLVH432: Technical Inquiry Regarding TLVH432QPK: Temperature Coefficient, Humidity Impact on Vref, and −Vref Circuit Configuration

Part Number: TLVH432

Tool/software:

Hi team,

I would like to inquire about the following technical details regarding the TLVH432QPK device:

  1. Temperature Characteristics
Could you please confirm whether there is any internal data available that shows the worst-case temperature coefficient (e.g., MAX ±〇ppm/℃) for TLVH432QPK?

  2. Vref Variation Due to Humidity Changes
Do you have any internal data (including evaluation conditions) that shows how the Vref of TLVH432QPK varies with changes in ambient humidity?
We have previously observed Vref variation due to humidity changes in other manufacturers' shunt regulators, so we would like to confirm this in advance.

  3. Circuit Configuration for −Vref Generation
As discussed in our meeting, we would like to confirm whether the following configuration is acceptable for generating a GND-referenced −Vref:
Cathode connected to GND, and anode connected to −15 V via a current-limiting resistor.
Is this configuration appropriate for use in applications like below?

Thank you for your support.

Best regards,

teritama

  • Hi Teritama,

    1. We do not have any data beyond what is given in the datasheet. For temperature, we provide details in section 5.5 of the datasheet, and plots are available in section 5.8

    2. Again, we do not have any data beyond the datasheet, so we have no data for variations with humidity.

    3. The device can be used as a negative voltage reference, however you will need to have the proper feedback network. This E2E thread describes the proper configuration, but do note that the equation for the output voltage is different for TLVH432, since the device has a 1.24V reference. The equation will instead be as follows:

    VF1 = 1.24 (1 + R1/R2)
