I am looking to implement a new battery-pack of 11000mAh using the BQ27421. I have read on another thread that such accomodation is possible by modifying particular parameters.
The following document was attached to this other thread : 3465.Gauge Design Configurations for High Charge Discharge Rate Applications.
The most sensitive parameters seem to be CC Gain and CC Delta, which have the following default values:
My understanding is that by dividing the CC Gain by a factor during application initialization, the algorithm will "see" and integrate current values divided by that factor, and hence by applying the same factor to the Design Capacity (so that it is bellow 8000mAh) the state of charge will be computed properly.
However I do not understand how CC Delta is supposed to be affected for this to function properly.
I am aware this factor would need to be applied to all current and capacity thresholds as well. Is there anything else I am missing?
