TLVM14406: Soft Start time

Hi team,

I have two questions.

First, I believe it is possible to adjust the soft-start time with an external capacitor. Could you please provide the specific formula for determining the rise time?

Secondly, on page 14 of the datasheet, it mentions a current source of 20mA for the SS pin, but on page 9 it states 20μA. Is 20μA the correct value?

Hi Hori,

You can adjust the SS time on this device only if you are in a single output mode.

20uA is the correct soft start current as stared in the EC table.

The rise time will be defined by Ic = C* (dVc)/dt

Typical current is 20uA, so you can find the change in voltage over time by dividing 20uA by your SS capacitor value.
