i am using bq2057w for dual cell battery charging. And 3A pnp transistor used to give charging for the LI-ion dual cell battery.I am using the same circuit as per the bq2057 datasheet. battery is charging fine but the transistor is getting heated after 8.5v. Desired current we designed 0.625A. And Ic also lighlty heated up..After some time ic just burned...and i verified the ic by removing it...Then it shows a short between vcc and vss.....I dont know why...
i am using the same circuit, only one simple difference, instead of 0.1uf cap I am using 47uf caps between vcc and vss for decoupling...i dont think this is the problem...
Anyone pls help me..im in a hurry yaar...this is the 2nd time it is happening...
