TPS61376: TPS61376 output capacitance limits

Part Number: TPS61376

Tool/software:

The datasheet for the TPS61376 gives the recommended max output capacitance at 2000uF. Due to the pulsing nature of my load, I have found that I need 4700uF or more.
Is there a reason I can't use 4700uF or more output capacitance on the TPS61376?

  • Hello,

Too much capacitance affects loop stability. You can still try adjusting compensation parameters to achieve enough loop stability. But we never tested and do not guarantee the loop stability.
