UCC28750: Requesting for a Home automation circuit design as per industry standard.

Hi to all.

i want to develop a home automation product. so for that i use hilink 5v smps as an input from 230v to 5v. but apart from that what are the input protection circuits i can use for ac input. as wll as for manual switching point, for mcu, for relay what type of protection circuits i can use . please guide me as per industry standards. if you have any circuit which can convert 230v input to 5v, 1A. then i can directly use it with all protection circuit. Plz guide me on the design part.
